ePropulsion, a global leader and market challenger in marine electric propulsion systems and services, has today announced its expansion in Europe with the appointment of KGK Motor AB as its distributor in Sweden.

KGK Motor AB, a privately owned company, is daughter company to KG Knutsson AB which was founded in 1946 and has a total of 1,300 employees. KGK Motor AB is a major player in the Swedish marine market with a net of 107 marine dealers and partnerships with several important boat builders. Sweden’s boat sales correlate with a growth in staycations and the sales of small motorboats, which are the preferred type of boat for use on the country’s rich network of waterways. ePropulsion sees the country as an important part of its growth in Europe, owed to the appetite from customers looking for more sustainable boating options and a growing number of conscientious boat owners converting from petrol to electric propulsion outboards. The company’s vision in the market is supported by the recent relocation of its Chief Marketing Officer, Chang Zhao to the country.
