UFC to Shine Saudi Arabia for First Time

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making its first depute to Saudi Arabia on June 22nd. UFC President Dana White proudly revealed on Wednesday that UFC will be traveling to Saudi Arabia. He said that the first battle in the Kingdom will take place on Fight Night, which ABC will broadcast live and for free. He announced that the main event will be former Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker vs 13-0, undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.

White expressed his happiness as Sergie Pavlovich, rated third, is set to take on Alexander Volkov, ranked sixth, in addition to bouts featuring notable fighters like Kelvin Gastellum and Johnny Walker.

The leading global organization in mixed martial arts, UFC, scheduled the first UFC Fight Night event in Saudi Arabia to take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Saturday, March 2nd. However, Riyadh Season recently announced the postponement of the event to June, to ensure “the availability of the best talent for participation.”

Besides, Saudi Arabia is on its way to becoming a significant destination for wrestling and martial arts fights worldwide. The story began with the “Toughest Man on Earth” battle between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, which took place at the opening of Riyadh Season.

Then came the announcement of an epic showdown next month between undefeated boxing champions Tyson Fury and Alexander Usyk. Therefore, the Kingdom is looking forward to hosting more legendary matches , especially during Riyadh Season 2023.
